ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਿਲੁ ਰਾਮਾ ॥੧॥

vadabhaagee mil raamaa ||1||

By great good fortune, you shall meet with the Lord. ||1||

ਗੁਰੁ ਜੋਗੀ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੀ ਜੀਉ ॥

gur jogee purakh miliaa ra(n)g maanee jeeu ||

I have met the Guru, the Yogi, the Primal Being; I am delighted with His Love.

ਗੁਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੜਾ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ਜੀਉ ॥

gur har ra(n)g rataRaa sadaa nirabaanee jeeu ||

The Guru is imbued with the Love of the Lord; He dwells forever in Nirvaanaa.

ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਿਲੁ ਸੁਘੜ ਸੁਜਾਣੀ ਜੀਉ ॥

vadabhaagee mil sughaR sujaanee jeeu ||

By great good fortune, I met the most accomplished and all-knowing Lord.

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਭਿੰਨਾ ॥੨॥

meraa man tan har ra(n)g bhi(n)naa ||2||

My mind and body are drenched in the Love of the Lord. ||2||

ਆਵਹੁ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਹਾ ॥

aavahu sa(n)tahu mil naam japaahaa ||

Come, O Saints - let's meet together and chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਵਿਚਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਲੈ ਲਾਹਾ ਜੀਉ ॥

vich sa(n)gat naam sadaa lai laahaa jeeu ||

In the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, let's earn the lasting profit of the Naam.

ਕਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੰਤਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਹਾ ਜੀਉ ॥

kar sevaa sa(n)taa a(n)mrit mukh paahaa jeeu ||

Let's serve the Saints, and drink in the Ambrosial Nectar.

ਮਿਲੁ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਅੜੇ ਧੁਰਿ ਕਰਮਾ ॥੩॥

mil poorab likhiaRe dhur karamaa ||3||

By one's karma and pre-ordained destiny, they are met. ||3||

ਸਾਵਣਿ ਵਰਸੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਜਗੁ ਛਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥

saavan varas a(n)mrit jag chhaaiaa jeeu ||

In the month of Saawan, the clouds of Ambrosial Nectar hang over the world.

ਮਨੁ ਮੋਰੁ ਕੁਹੁਕਿਅੜਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

man mor kuhukiaRaa sabad mukh paaiaa ||

The peacock of the mind chirps, and receives the Word of the Shabad, in its mouth;

ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਵੁਠੜਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥

har a(n)mrit vuthaRaa miliaa har raaiaa jeeu ||

the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord rains down, and the Sovereign Lord King is met.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਰਤੰਨਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੨੭॥੬੫॥

jan naanak prem rata(n)naa ||4||1||27||65||

Servant Nanak is imbued with the Love of the Lord. ||4||1||27||65||

gauRee maajh mahalaa 4 ||

Gauree Maajh, Fourth Mehl:

ਆਉ ਸਖੀ ਗੁਣ ਕਾਮਣ ਕਰੀਹਾ ਜੀਉ ॥

aau sakhee gun kaaman kareehaa jeeu ||

Come, O sisters - let's make virtue our charms.

ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣਿਹ ਰਲੀਆ ਜੀਉ ॥

mil sa(n)t janaa ra(n)g maanih raleeaa jeeu ||

Let's join the Saints, and enjoy the pleasure of the Lord's Love.

ਗੁਰ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਮਨਿ ਬਲੀਆ ਜੀਉ ॥

gur deepak giaan sadaa man baleeaa jeeu ||

The lamp of the Guru's spiritual wisdom burns steadily in my mind.

ਹਰਿ ਤੁਠੈ ਢੁਲਿ ਢੁਲਿ ਮਿਲੀਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

har tuthai dhul dhul mileeaa jeeu ||1||

The Lord, being pleased and moved by pity, has led me to meet Him. ||1||

ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਲਗਾ ਹਰਿ ਢੋਲੇ ਜੀਉ ॥

merai man tan prem lagaa har dhole jeeu ||

My mind and body are filled with love for my Darling Lord.

ਮੈ ਮੇਲੇ ਮਿਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਵੇਚੋਲੇ ਜੀਉ ॥

mai mele mitr satigur vechole jeeu ||

The True Guru, the Divine Intermediary, has united me with my Friend.

ਮਨੁ ਦੇਵਾਂ ਸੰਤਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਲੇ ਜੀਉ ॥

man devaa(n) sa(n)taa meraa prabh mele jeeu ||

I offer my mind to the Guru, who has led me to meet my God.

ਹਰਿ ਵਿਟੜਿਅਹੁ ਸਦਾ ਘੋਲੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥

har vitaRiahu sadaa ghole jeeu ||2||

I am forever a sacrifice to the Lord. ||2||

ਵਸੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ਵਸੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੁ ਜੀਉ ॥

vas mere piaariaa vas mere govidaa har kar kirapaa man vas jeeu ||

Dwell, O my Beloved, dwell, O my Lord of the Universe; O Lord, show mercy to me and come to dwell within my mind.

ਮਨਿ ਚਿੰਦਿਅੜਾ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਵੇਖਿ ਵਿਗਸੁ ਜੀਉ ॥

man chi(n)diaRaa phal paaiaa mere govi(n)daa gur pooraa vekh vigas jeeu ||

I have obtained the fruits of my mind's desires, O my Lord of the Universe; I am transfixed with ecstasy, gazing upon the Perfect Guru.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਮਨਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਅਨਦੁ ਰਹਸੁ ਜੀਉ ॥

har naam miliaa sohaaganee mere govi(n)daa man anadin anad rahas jeeu ||

The happy soul-brides receive the Lord's Name, O my Lord of the Universe; night and day, their minds are blissful and happy.

ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਅੜਾ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਨਿਤ ਲੈ ਲਾਹਾ ਮਨਿ ਹਸੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥

har paaiaRaa vadabhaageeee mere govi(n)daa nit lai laahaa man has jeeu ||3||

By great good fortune, the Lord is found, O my Lord of the Universe; earning profit continually, the mind laughs with joy. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਵੇਖੈ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਕਾਰੈ ਲਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥

har aap upaae har aape vekhai har aape kaarai laaiaa jeeu ||

The Lord Himself creates, and the Lord Himself beholds; the Lord Himself assigns all to their tasks.

ਇਕਿ ਖਾਵਹਿ ਬਖਸ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਇਕਨਾ ਫਕਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥

ik khaavahi bakhas tot na aavai ikanaa phakaa paaiaa jeeu ||

Some partake of the bounty of the Lord's favor, which never runs out, while others receive only a handful.

ਇਕਿ ਰਾਜੇ ਤਖਤਿ ਬਹਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਸੁਖੀਏ ਇਕਨਾ ਭਿਖ ਮੰਗਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥

ik raaje takhat bahahi nit sukheee ikanaa bhikh ma(n)gaaiaa jeeu ||

Some sit upon thrones as kings, and enjoy constant pleasures, while others must beg for charity.

ਸਭੁ ਇਕੋ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿਦਾ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨॥੨੮॥੬੬॥

sabh iko sabad varatadaa mere govidaa jan naanak naam dhiaaiaa jeeu ||4||2||28||66||

The Word of the Shabad is pervading in everyone, O my Lord of the Universe; servant Nanak meditates on the Naam. ||4||2||28||66||

ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ਜੀਉ ॥

man maahee man maahee mere govi(n)daa har ra(n)g rataa man maahee jeeu ||

From within my mind, from within my mind, O my Lord of the Universe, I am imbued with the Love of the Lord, from within my mind.

ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਲਖੀਐ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿਦਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਹੀ ਜੀਉ ॥

har ra(n)g naal na lakheeai mere govidaa gur pooraa alakh lakhaahee jeeu ||

The Lord's Love is with me, but it cannot be seen, O my Lord of the Universe; the Perfect Guru has led me to see the unseen.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਗਾਸਿਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਸਭ ਦਾਲਦ ਦੁਖ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਹੀ ਜੀਉ ॥

har har naam paragaasiaa mere govi(n)daa sabh daalad dukh lahi jaahee jeeu ||

He has revealed the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, O my Lord of the Universe; all poverty and pain have departed.

ਹਰਿ ਪਦੁ ਊਤਮੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਹੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

har pad ootam paaiaa mere govi(n)daa vadabhaagee naam samaahee jeeu ||1||

I have obtained the supreme status of the Lord, O my Lord of the Universe; by great good fortune, I am absorbed in the Naam. ||1||

ਨੈਣੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ਨੈਣੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿਦਾ ਕਿਨੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਡਿਠੜਾ ਨੈਣੀ ਜੀਉ ॥

nainee mere piaariaa nainee mere govidaa kinai har prabh dithaRaa nainee jeeu ||

With his eyes, O my Beloved, with his eyes, O my Lord of the Universe - has anyone ever seen the Lord God with his eyes?

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਬੈਰਾਗਿਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਧਨ ਕੁਮਲੈਣੀ ਜੀਉ ॥

meraa man tan bahut bairaagiaa mere govi(n)daa har baajhahu dhan kumalainee jeeu ||

My mind and body are sad and depressed, O my Lord of the Universe; without her Husband Lord, the soul-bride is withering away.
